Mixing Umbilical Noose for Iris Pill (click here)
This a quick look at some of the equipment we use for mixing. In this video we’re getting ready to print some mixes of a song called Umbilical Noose for Iris Pill. For this song we’ve got 32 outputs from Pro Tools HD coming up on our Quad Eight mixing console. We tracked all the songs for this record to 2 inch tape through a vintage Neve console and then dumped it to Pro Tools for overdubs and further production. We’re doing all of the mixing on the console and most of the processing like compression, eq, delay and reverb with outboard units and we’re using some Pro Tools plugins too. With all of the effects returns and busses there are about 72 inputs coming back into the mixing board.
